COLLAGEN

The fibrous protein COLLAGEN is considered to be the most important supporting and structure protein in the human body. It has a share of more than 30 % of the total mass of all proteins in the body and constitutes up to 60 % of the connective tissue. Currently, there are about 28 different types of collagen known, which, among others, are responsible for stabilising bones, teeth, tendons, ligaments as well as the skin.

Unfortunately, the sophisticated renewal mechanism of COLLAGEN slows down over the years: The production of COLLAGEN starts to gradually decrease in the mid-20s, and, depending on the genetic disposition and lifestyle, the amount of collagen in the body may reduce by approx. 1% annually. This leads to a loss of contour in the jaw and cheek area as well as an increase in wrinkle formation. This process can be countered with care products rich in active agents. However,  the preparation of these is essential for the effectiveness of the COLLAGEN since the mass of agglomerating collagen molecules is usually too large to penetrate through the protective layer of the skin and to act in deeper layers of the skin.
